Meet Dr. Hirschman

Dr. Wade R. Hirschman started work as an endodontic dental assistant at the age of fifteen for his father, Dr. Louis E. Hirschman. He developed an early interest in the dental field as a teenager and decided that dentistry would be his goal in his professional life. Dr. Hirschman completed his pre-dental education and Bachelors degree in Zoology at Michigan State University. He then received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2007.

Dr. Hirschman completed a General Practice Residency at Denver Health Medical Center and was in private practice in Colorado before returning to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry Endodontics Program. During his endodontic residency, Dr. Hirschman was an attending at the Detroit Medical Center dental clinic and practiced part-time focusing on root canal treatment. In the summer of 2011 he completed his specialty training, achieving a Masters degree in science and a Specialty in Endodontics. Dr. Hirschman is the Endodontic Attending at Denver Health Medical Center teaching the dental residents in the General Practice Residency. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association and Metro Denver Dental Society.

Throughout the years, Dr. Wade R. Hirschman has gained extensive general dentistry and endodontic experience and has pursued graduate research and residency training. His research on the Cytotoxicity Comparison of Three Current Direct Pulp-capping Agents with a New Bioceramic Root Repair Putty has been published in the Journal of Endodontics. This broad base of knowledge equips him with a unique understanding of current medical conditions of his patients, enabling him to provide thorough endodontic therapy. Dr. Hirschman is dedicated to the field of Endodontics and quality patient care.

In his spare time, Dr. Hirschman enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, biking, camping, and off-roading. He is an alumnus of the Michigan State University Alpine Ski Team, competing in Giant Slalom, Slalom, and Snowboard GS. Dr. Hirschman also enjoys tinkering around with his automobiles and traveling across the country visiting friends and attending dental conferences.
